HOW TO PRAY THE ROSARY OF THE HOLY FACE OF JESUS

This rosary is different from the Chaplet of the Holy Face. It is a five-decade rosary that meditates on the sufferings of Jesus, especially on His Holy Face during His Passion. It was promoted by Blessed Maria Pierina De Micheli, who also received the Holy Face Medal devotion.

𝙎𝙏𝙍𝙐𝘾𝙏𝙐𝙍𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙍𝙊𝙎𝘼𝙍𝙔 𝙊𝙁 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙃𝙊𝙇𝙔 𝙁𝘼𝘾𝙀

The rosary consists of 5 decades, just like the Marian Rosary.

Instead of the Hail Mary, a special prayer of reparation is said.

The rosary honors Jesus’ suffering from His agony in the garden to His crucifixion.

1. Begin with the Sign of the Cross

"In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

2. Opening Prayer

"O Jesus, through the merits of Your Holy Face, have mercy on us and on the whole world!"

3. On the Large Beads (Our Father Beads)

Pray:

"My Jesus, mercy! Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen."

4. On Each of the 10 Small Beads (Hail Mary Beads)

Pray:

"Arise, O Lord, and let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before Your Holy Face!" (Psalm 68:1)

5. At the End of Each Decade

Pray:

"O Holy Face of Jesus, be our light, our joy, and our salvation!"

6. Closing Prayer

"O Lord, show us Your Face, and we shall be saved! Amen."

You can conclude with the Litany of the Holy Face or the Golden Arrow Prayer, a powerful prayer of reparation:

Promises of the Holy Face Rosary

Jesus revealed that those who pray and honor His Holy Face:

✔ Will receive special graces of conversion for sinners.

✔ Will be defended at the hour of death.

✔ Will be strengthened in trials and protected against evil.
